Hackney Community Law Centre has been providing legal advice and representation the residents and tenants of Hackney since the 1970s.
We provide legal advice and assistance to low paid and unemployed people on debt, employment, housing, immigration and welfare benefits law.
We also deal with areas of public law – that is the process for challenging local and national government decisions.
In order to continue being able to provide the service that we do, we very much need your financial and practical support. Your contributions go a long way to continuing and hopefully extending our legal work in the community.
In early 2011, we launched the Friends of Hackney Community Law Centre (HCLC). Friends of HCLC are supporters who make a regular financial contribution to our work – for example £5 a month or as much as they can afford. In return, they are kept regularly up-to-date with HCLC news and invited to special events where we can thank them for their support.
In 2012, we plan to develop the Friends of HCLC further. Please watch this space for more information.
In the meantime, to become a Friend of HCLC please do get in touch.
